Kayla Rillie, Registered Dietitian 


Hi there, thanks for checking out our site! I’m Kayla Rillie, Registered Dietitian and owner of Nutrition Intuition.  I love hiking, appreciating nature, snowboarding, traveling, and exercising. Food is a passion of mine and finding ways to cook or bake with a nutritional purpose is fun for me. I also love going to new restaurants and trying different cuisines. I recently became a mother to a beautiful baby girl named Stella James, and am also a mom to my furry girls Finley and Mia. Becoming a mom has completely changed my life and made me appreciate the importance of prenatal and postnatal care, something I can’t wait to share with you. 

I went to San Diego State University where I received my B.S. in Nutritional Sciences with a Minor in Psychology. I completed my accredited dietetic internship through Utah State University and have worked at several nutrition-based clinics before transitioning my focus to eating disorder care and recovery, and prenatal/postnatal nutrition. I have worked with clients at inpatient, residential, partial hospital, outpatient, and intensive outpatient eating disorder centers. When working with clients, I focus on the intuitive eating principle and learning how to recognize and listen to hunger cues. I provide non-diet nutritional education by helping clients learn how to form balanced meals rather than focusing on calories alone. I believe that food is medicine and my goal when counseling clients is to eliminate fear, intimidation, and confusion about nutrition.  

Walking alongside people in their journey to a healthier lifestyle has given me a fulfillment that is hard to describe. Let’s get rid of dieting, food guilt, body shame, and obsessive exercise. We all deserve to feel confident and healthy, and I can’t wait to help you achieve that happier lifestyle you’ve always wanted. 


Madeleine White, Degreed Nutritionist 

Hello! My name is Madeleine White, I’m a native San Diegan with a passion for culture, food, and the outdoors. I love long bike rides, slack lining by the beach, creating new recipes (especially when they turn out to be delicious), writing, and traveling to fun and exciting places. While San Diego is certainly home to me, so are Rome (where I lived for a year), the Netherlands (where I spent a summer), and Spain (because I just LOVE it there). I enjoy iimg_20161006_172413ncorporating the uniqueness of various cuisines and cultures into my life each and every day.

I graduated from San Diego State University in 2015, where I received my B.S. in Foods and Nutritional Sciences. Since then, I’ve lived abroad, and worked in the nonprofit world supporting and educating those living with diabetes. I have worked in several different sectors of the nutrition field, including helping manage food services at a refugee center in Rome, Women, Infants & Children Nutrition, and Sharp Hospital’s Outpatient Diabetes Center.

While I have a variety of different experiences in nutrition, my passion lies with working to prevent and treat eating disorders, researching and writing about food behaviors, and teaching future nutrition professionals at the college-level. I believe that proper nutrition and healthy food behaviors are the keys to a balanced and joyful life. I also understand that both of these goals take daily work and determination. Educating and uplifting my community to live the life each individual person deserves fills me with an unbelievable amount of gratification and accomplishment.
